Portable
Appliance testing is made up of two primary elements
that for inspection purposes are sub-divided.
Course Title: The Management of Electrical
Installations
As mentioned in relation to legal responsibilities,
a duty holder must be nominated as being responsible
for an electrical installation; it is not necessary
to be a qualified electrician, but it is necessary
to be competent in understanding the legal responsibilities,
in understanding and interpreting test results
and being able to make informed decisions in relation
to damaged, faulty or in-appropriate use/location
of equipment.
Our half-day seminars are designed to provide
the knowledge necessary to fulfil these obligations
confidently and in an informed manner. This course
is designed for Managers, Department / Section
heads, Supervisors etc. No previous electrical
knowledge is necessary. |

Course Title: User Inspection course
As
defined in the table of frequency of inspections,
the first column of tests is the user requirements;
again as noted in the legal responsibilities,
not only does the employer have a responsibility
to staff but also staff have a responsibility
to themselves and those around them for Health
& Safety issues.
This 2-hour course is designed to teach, encourage
and motivate staff to take on board their responsibility
and so alleviate some of the burden from Employers.
Suitable and necessary for every staff member
using electrical equipment, no previous electrical
knowledge is necessary.
